Azerbaijan Seizes Over 200,000 Unmarked Cigarettes from Trkiye.


Baku: Azerbaijan has uncovered 208,000 cigarettes lacking excise marks in trucks transporting goods from Trkiye, as conveyed by the Press and Public Relations Department of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan to APA. The discovery was made during an examination of cargo vehicles by customs officials.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the inspection was conducted by the Balakan Customs Department. During this process, officials found that two trucks carrying ceramic products from Trkiye to Azerbaijan also contained a substantial quantity of cigarettes without the necessary excise stamps or mandatory markings. The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the shipment.
