Baku: Latvian President Edgars Rinkevics will participate in COP29, Latvia’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Edgars Skuja, informed APA. He confirmed that Rinkevics accepted Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev’s invitation and will attend the summit with his delegation.

According to Azeri-Press news agency, the ambassador expressed satisfaction with Azerbaijan hosting the year’s largest summit and emphasized the importance of discussions on financing climate change. He stated that Latvia intends to actively engage in these discussions, with hopes that COP29 will lead to positive decisions and consensus on critical climate issues.
