Baku: New state duties related to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have been established as amendments to the Law on State Duties were discussed in a recent parliamentary session. According to APA, the amendments outline specific fees for various certifications and permits associated with UAV operation in the country.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the draft specifies a state duty of 15 Azerbaijani Manats (AZN) for issuing operator certificates to drone operators, as well as for licenses, ID cards, or certificates for aviation personnel. Additionally, a duty of 10 AZN is set for UAV registration certificates, operational permits for UAV operators, certificates for remote pilots, and permits for UAV model clubs or associations.
The amendments were successfully adopted in the first reading following a parliamentary vote, marking a significant step in the regulation of UAV operations within Azerbaijan.
