Baku: After hosting COP29, Azerbaijan is seeking to increase investments in low-emission technologies, APA-Economics reports, citing the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) ‘World Energy Outlook – 2025’ report.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the report notes that the country aims to increase the share of renewable energy in installed capacity to 30% by 2030. During COP29 held in Baku, several statements were made by the Caspian and Central Asian countries, including commitments to support renewable energy sources and enhance infrastructure connectivity.

The report highlights the Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor as an example of such efforts. This initiative is being implemented under the Strategic Partnership Agreement signed by Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan. The agreement aims to integrate the partner countries’ power grids and facilitate the export of renewable energy.
