Baku:Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU) has been ranked third among Azerbaijani universities in the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2026.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, UI GreenMetric is an international ranking system that evaluates universities based on their commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The system assesses various factors such as campus infrastructure, energy and climate initiatives, waste management, water conservation, transportation, and educational and research activities.

AzTU's achievement in securing a top-three position among Azerbaijani institutions highlights its progress in incorporating sustainability principles into its practices and development priorities.
