Baku: Small, medium, and even large enterprises face challenges when implementing artificial intelligence in business, particularly with finance and human resources, stated Aziza Vidadi, Head of the Department of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. She was speaking during a panel discussion at the ‘StrategEast: Eurasian Forum on State and IT’ held in the city.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Vidadi highlighted several approaches to address these issues. These include public-private partnerships and using educational platforms such as Coursera. The IT Hub project, a collaboration with StrategEast in 2023, was noted as a success, with some students securing employment. Another proposed solution is the establishment of a joint infrastructure.

Vidadi revealed that the Ministry of Economy is working on creating a supercomputer center, which will be accessible to small and medium-sized businesses. This center will provide high-performance computing capabilities with a power of 1.3 petaflops. It will serve as a venue for state institutions, the private sector, and universities to conduct research and develop projects. The ministry is currently assessing the needs of the ecosystem.

She also mentioned potential support mechanisms, such as incentive measures and financial support from the government, like tax breaks, to further assist businesses in overcoming these challenges.
