Baku: Azerbaijan is set to host the 12th European Political Community Summit in 2028, marking a significant milestone in its relations with the European Union (EU). Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister, Jeyhun Bayramov, made the announcement during a press conference discussing the outcomes of 2025, emphasizing the country's growing political influence and its role as a dependable partner within Europe.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Azerbaijan's relationship with the EU is expanding through five main pillars, with strategic partnerships established with 10 EU member states. This development underscores a political dialogue built on mutual trust. FM Bayramov also noted the high-level reciprocal visits and intensive political consultations that have taken place this year as part of Azerbaijan-EU relations.

Bayramov highlighted Azerbaijan's active participation in the 6th and 7th Summits of the European Political Community, where President Ilham Aliyev represented the country. Within this platform, Azerbaijan has consistently reiterated its stance on European security, energy cooperation, and regional stability, showcasing its principled position on these critical issues.
