Azerbaijan to Increase International Dual Degree Programs in Higher Education

Baku: The number of international dual degree programs implemented in the field of higher education in Azerbaijan is set to increase to eight. This decision is part of a Presidential Order titled ‘On additional measures to enhance the international competitiveness of the higher education system of the Republic of Azerbaijan,’ signed by President Ilham Aliyev.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Presidential Order specifies that the increase aligns with the ‘Socio-Economic Development Strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2022-2026.’ This strategy, approved by Presidential Order No. 3378 on July 22, 2022, ensures the implementation of these programs until 2030.

The State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan will finance both existing and newly introduced international dual degree programs, as stipulated in the Order.
