Azerbaijani Amphibious Aircraft Aids in Combating Forest Fires in Turkey


Following directives from President Ilham Aliyev, an Azerbaijani BE-200CS amphibious aircraft has been deployed to assist Turkey in managing severe forest fires, as reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the aircraft, which is part of a bilateral aid effort, has been active in the Akhisar-Taskuyucak region, conducting aerial firefighting operations over the past day. This deployment underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to international cooperation in disaster response, with ongoing efforts to control the fires and mitigate their impact on the region.
