Azerbaijani Amphibious Aircraft Assists in Turkish Wildfire Containment Efforts

ANKARA — An Azerbaijani BE-200ÇS amphibious aircraft continues to play a crucial role in combating severe forest fires in the Republic of Trkiye, demonstrating international cooperation in emergency response.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the aircraft’s deployment follows a directive from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. It has been actively engaged in firefighting operations, particularly in the Ushak-Eshme area. The Ministry of Emergency Situations highlighted the ongoing nature of these operations, emphasizing the sustained effort to manage the fires.

The involvement of the Azerbaijani aviation unit underscores the solidarity between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, particularly in times of natural disasters, enhancing the collaborative ties between the two nations.
