Azerbaijani and Chinese Officials Commemorate National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs

Baku: A delegation from China, led by Liu Haixing, Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CPC), joined members of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) to honor the legacy of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Azerbaijani martyrs. The visit took place on September 8 at the Alley of Honors and the Alley of Martyrs.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the officials first paid their respects to Heydar Aliyev, the founder and architect of the modern independent Azerbaijani state, by placing a wreath and flowers at his grave. They also honored the memory of the renowned ophthalmologist and academician Zarifa Aliyeva by laying flowers at her grave.

Following this, the delegation proceeded to the Alley of Martyrs, where they commemorated Azerbaijani heroes who lost their lives for the country's independence. They placed flowers at the graves and a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument, marking their tribute to the sacrifices made by these martyrs.
