Baku: Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a telephone conversation with his Georgian counterpart, Maka Botchorishvili, about the transit of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia via Georgia. This discussion was reported by APA, citing the Azerbaijan MFA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions between the foreign ministers revolved around the state and prospects of the fraternal relations and strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia. The ministers acknowledged the significance of the current high-level political dialogue and the frequent visits between the two nations, which contribute to strengthening bilateral relations. Both ministers emphasized the need to enhance these high-level political contacts in the coming year.

The conversation also focused on trade and communications within the region, with both sides praising the efforts made in this regard. They discussed the agreement on tariff issues concerning the export of Azerbaijani oil products to Armenia through Georgia. Both ministers highlighted the importance of continuing these efforts and expressed satisfaction with the progress made. Bayramov extended his appreciation to the Georgian leadership for their swift resolution of this matter.
