Tbilisi: A delegation headed by Major General Elgun Aliyev, the Chief of the Military Police Department of the Main Department of Internal Security and Investigations of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited Georgia, as confirmed by the Defense Ministry to APA.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani delegation paid tribute to the National Leader at the monument in Heydar Aliyev Park in Tbilisi. Major General Elgun Aliyev then engaged in discussions with Major General Shalva Shengelia, the Chief of the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia.
The meeting facilitated a comprehensive exchange of views on conducting joint exercises and various issues of mutual interest. The Azerbaijani delegation received a briefing on the operations of the Georgian Military Police, focusing on its main areas of activity.
Following the discussions, the delegation had the opportunity to inspect weapons and equipment. They also observed live-fire exercises, which included operations within buildings and strategies for protecting high-ranking officials.
