Baku: During a joint address with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude to Uzbekistan for its support in the revival of Karabakh, APA reports.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted Uzbekistan’s pioneering role in aiding the restoration efforts in the Karabakh region. He noted that Uzbekistan was the first country to offer assistance, with President Mirziyoyev taking the initiative to support the reconstruction projects in the area. A significant milestone in these efforts was the development of a social and educational infrastructure project-a school inaugurated by both leaders. This school, named after Mirzo Ulugbek, a notable figure in Uzbek history, now serves as an educational institution for children who have returned to their ancestral lands.
