BAKU: The Baku International Sea Trade Port (BISTP) in Alat and Klaipeda Port in Lithuania have decided to enhance their business collaboration, focusing on knowledge sharing and sustainable development.
According to Trend News Agency, during a recent meeting at the Baku Port, Klaipeda Port’s Director General Algis Latakas, along with the Lithuanian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Kestutis Vaitkevicius, engaged in discussions aimed at strengthening the business relationship between the two ports. The talks highlighted not only business enhancement but also the exchange of knowledge and experiences crucial for the ports’ operations.
The meeting also covered the Baku Port’s significant role in the development of the Silk Road and the non-oil sectors of Azerbaijan. Additionally, strategies for sustainable development and reducing carbon emissions were discussed, aligning with global environmental management trends.
