Lisbon: Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Minister of State and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Portugal Paulo Rangel on the sidelines of ADF2026, as announced on the official account of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on X, APA reports.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the discussions between the two ministers focused on the potential for advancing bilateral relations, enhancing political dialogue, and boosting cooperation in economic, trade, and energy sectors. Additionally, they discussed how both countries could collaborate more effectively within international organizations.

The meeting also explored the possibility of further strengthening ties through the opening of the Embassy of Portugal in Azerbaijan, a move that could facilitate deeper collaboration and understanding between the two nations.
