Baku: ANAS President, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, welcomed a Romanian delegation led by Professor PhD Sorin Bocancea, Rector of Petre Andrei University of Ia?i, in a meeting aimed at strengthening scientific collaboration between Azerbaijan and Romania. The discussions focused on enhancing scientific and educational cooperation, which both parties identified as pivotal for future joint initiatives.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Academician Isa Habibbeyli emphasized the robust relations between Azerbaijan and Romania, advocating for expanded collaborative efforts in science and education. He described joint initiatives as essential for fostering future cooperation between the two nations.
Rector Sorin Bocancea highlighted the profile of Petre Andrei University and mentioned a recent 'POLIS' journal event held at Garabagh University. He expressed a keen interest in bolstering scientific partnerships with ANAS and other Azerbaijani universities, aiming to deepen the academic ties between the institutions.
Associate Professor Sabin Dragulin, Executive Director of the journal 'POLIS,' provided insights into the journal's history and its manuscript selection process. He noted that 'POLIS' is published in multiple languages, including Romanian, English, German, and Italian, and holds a respected position in the international academic community. Dragulin extended an invitation to Azerbaijani researchers to collaborate with the journal.
During the meeting, a special issue of 'POLIS' dedicated to Azerbaijan was presented to Academician Isa Habibbeyli. The Romanian delegation concluded their visit with a tour of the ANAS Presidium building, gaining insights into its historical significance.
