BAKU: The Azerbaijani Army has continued its counter-offensive, termed the "Iron Fist," against Armenian forces, seizing control of multiple villages and engaging in significant combat as part of the ongoing Second Karabakh War, which began on September 27, 2020. This military action follows what Azerbaijan describes as provocation by the Armenian armed forces along the frontline. According to Trend News Agency, the conflict, which ignited over disputed territories, has seen Azerbaijani forces make substantial gains. The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in interviews and through social media, has announced the liberation of six villages including Arish and Doshulu, and highlighted the broader goal of restoring Azerbaijan's territorial integrity after nearly three decades of Armenian occupation. The Azerbaijani Prosecutor General's Office also reported civilian casualties, including two individuals injured due to Armenian artillery hitting a residential building in Aghdam.
