Azerbaijani Army Positions in Nakhchivan Under Fire from Armenian Forces


Nakhchivan — Early in the morning on August 28, Armenian armed forces opened fire on Azerbaijani army positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, official statements from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense.The ministry detailed that the incident occurred around 06:45, with small arms fire originating from the Armenian positions near the Arazdeyen settlement of the Davali region. The targeted Azerbaijani positions were located near Heydarabad in the Sadarak region of Nakhchivan. The confrontation underscores ongoing tensions in the area, despite international efforts to stabilize the region.
