Baku: “Currently, 21 STEAM centers are operational,” stated Igrar Nazarov, the head of the “STEAM Azerbaijan” project, during the opening ceremony of the International STEAM Azerbaijan Festival, as reported by APA.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Nazarov highlighted the project’s extensive reach, noting that it spans 41 schools and impacts 6,000 students directly, while encompassing more than 300,000 students and over 400,000 schools overall. The initiative has also successfully established STEAM centers in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Nazarov further shared that over the past five years, the festival has seen participation from more than 25,000 individuals, with this year marking the highest number of registrations. More than 5,000 international participants from 21 countries have registered for the event. Additionally, he mentioned the inclusion of students from Karabakh University in the competition.
