The Azerbaijani embassy in Syria has resumed its activities after being closed for 12 years due to previous unfriendly actions by the former Assad regime, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov confirmed to journalists.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, contacts between Azerbaijan and Syria have been ongoing, with Azerbaijan recently dispatching its first humanitarian aid to Syria. A phone conversation between the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister and the Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is on the horizon, signaling a potential strengthening of ties.
The minister highlighted Azerbaijan’s commitment to supporting Syria, with the aim of helping it become a significant player in international relations.
