Ankara — Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov announced during a joint press conference with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan that more than 20,000 former internally displaced persons (IDPs) are expected to return to the Qarabagh region by the end of this year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the resettlement initiative is part of a broader plan that aims to see over 140,000 IDPs return to the region by the end of 2026. This movement marks a significant phase in Azerbaijan’s efforts to rehabilitate and repopulate the area following recent conflicts.
