Istanbul: Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Kubanychbek Omuraliev, in Istanbul. This meeting occurred on the sidelines of the informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the OTS.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency,the discussions revolved around the current security situation in the Middle East and the escalation observed in the region. The meeting strongly condemned the drone attacks carried out from Iran's territory against Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, pointing out that such actions contradict international law norms and principles and contribute to rising regional tensions.
Both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening solidarity and coordination within the OTS amid growing geopolitical tensions and the evolving international security environment. Other mutual interest issues were also discussed, highlighting the need for further cooperation among the Turkic States.
