Baku: Azerbaijani media representatives recently embarked on a tour of Uzbekistan's Amirsoy and Beldersay mountain resorts in the Tashkent Region as part of a broader press tour initiative. The visit aimed to showcase the region's commitment to developing year-round mountain tourism and modern leisure infrastructure.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the journalists received detailed insights into the ongoing investment projects and the future prospects of establishing a significant international tourism cluster in the region. Amirsoy, recognized as Uzbekistan's largest ski resort and a prominent destination in Central Asia, spans approximately 900 hectares with an elevation reaching 2,494 meters. It offers a range of winter sports like skiing and snowboarding, alongside an array of summer outdoor activities. The media delegation discussed the development of tourism infrastructure and the potential for expanding international tourism collaboration.
The tour continued to the Beldersay Resort, located amidst the scenic mountains of the Tashkent Region. Here, the Azerbaijani journalists learned about the initiatives to enhance the area's tourism potential and modernize its mountain tourism infrastructure.
