Riyadh: Azerbaijani national judo team won the championship at the Islamic Solidarity Games, held in the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh. The judo competitions, part of the VI Islamic Solidarity Games, showcased the skill and determination of the Azerbaijani team.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the Azerbaijani judo team faced off against Uzbekistan in the final match of the mixed team competition. Demonstrating outstanding performance, the Azerbaijani team emerged victorious with a decisive score of 4:0, securing gold medals for their country.

The Azerbaijani team was represented by Fidan Alizadeh, Hidayet Heydarov, Ruslan Pashayev, Aytaj Gardashkhanli, Eljan Hajiyev, Gunel Hasanli, and Ushangi Kokauri, each contributing to the team’s success at the tournament.
