PARIS — Azerbaijani para athlete Orkhan Aslanov has clinched a gold medal in the long jump event at the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games, delivering an outstanding performance in the T13 category.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Aslanov secured the championship with a remarkable jump of 7.29 meters. This achievement marks a significant highlight in Azerbaijan’s participation at this year’s Paralympic Games, underscoring the nation’s strong presence in para athletics.

The Paralympics, which have showcased the talents and determination of athletes from around the world, are set to conclude on September 8.
