Azerbaijani President Highlights Rising International Demand for Gas Cooperation

Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has announced an increase in international requests for gas cooperation with Azerbaijan. During an interview with Euronews TV on May 18, he highlighted the country's leading position in supplying gas via pipelines, stating, "In terms of the number of countries to which we supply gas via pipelines, we are number one. The number is growing."

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev revealed that ten members of the European Union are currently clients of Azerbaijani gas. In total, 12 European countries receive gas supplies from Azerbaijan. He noted the increasing number of countries and growing requests for cooperation, reflecting Azerbaijan's expanding role in the international energy market.
