Baku: Panel discussions entitled 'The Foundation for Prosperity: Secure Housing as a Catalyst for Economic Growth and Social Inclusion' were held at the Canadian pavilion within the framework of the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13). The event focused on issues of housing rights, land security, and women's empowerment.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the discussions brought together representatives from Angola, Kenya, Uganda, and international organizations engaged in the fields of sustainable urbanization and protection of housing rights. Mois©s Festo, program manager of the Development Workshop Angola, emphasized the importance of international cooperation in addressing social and housing challenges. He noted that partnerships with Canada and international donors are crucial for implementing population support programs and promoting initiatives aimed at human rights and sustainable development.

The speakers concurred that secure housing and land rights are not only a social necessity but also a key driving force in economic growth, urban sustainability, and the reduction of inequality.
