Baku: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev emphasized the importance of instilling patriotism and education among the youth as part of the country's development strategy during an event dedicated to 2025 sports results.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, President Aliyev highlighted that the nation's flag, now recognized internationally as a symbol of victory, has been prominently raised at various global competitions over the past five years.

President Aliyev pointed out that the positive atmosphere and solidarity within Azerbaijani society contribute significantly to the nation's progress. He stressed that the physical and moral development of the youth is crucial for the country's sustainable growth, with sports playing a significant role in fostering a sense of patriotism among the younger generation. The President remarked on the pride felt when Azerbaijani athletes succeed internationally, elevating the national flag and strengthening the country's image as a victorious nation.

The President also noted that the achievements from five years ago have heightened the responsibilities of athletes, who now compete with the added honor of representing a triumphant nation. This sense of pride and responsibility, he suggested, is evident in the athletes' performances and their reception on international platforms.
