Baku: Azerbaijani beach volleyball teams, both men and women, clinched the championship titles at the CEV Beach Volleyball European Cup. The men’s team, Azerrail, faced Spain’s CVP Poniente Benidorm Alicante in a closely contested final. The match concluded with a victory for Azerrail in the Golden Set, where they triumphed with a score of 15:12, securing the European Cup.

According to Trend News Agency, the final was intense, with each team winning one match, leading to the decisive Golden Set. In the first match, Azerrail was defeated 18:21, but they came back strong to win the second match 21:14. The Golden Set was a nail-biter, ending in Azerrail’s favor. The victory marks a significant achievement for Azerrail, reinforcing their status in European beach volleyball.

The women’s team also had a successful tournament, securing their championship title at the European Cup, further showcasing the strength of Azerbaijani beach volleyball on the European stage.
