Baku: Azerbaijan has witnessed a significant decrease in its car imports from Georgia during the first five months of this year.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the foreign trade portal of the National Statistics Office of Georgia, as reported by APA's local bureau, Georgia exported 1,926 passenger cars valued at $66.4 million to Azerbaijan in this period.

This marks a 38.3% decrease in value terms and nearly a twofold decrease in quantity compared to the same period last year. In total, Georgia exported 29,297 passenger cars worth $734.6 million from January to May, with 6.57% of these exports destined for Azerbaijan.
