Baku: Azerbaijan’s gold production has seen a substantial increase of over 80 percent in the early months of 2025. The country produced 478.3 kg of gold and 776.6 kg of silver during January and February, marking a significant boost in its precious metals output.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the State Statistics Committee reported that gold production increased by 81.4 percent, while silver production rose by 36.8 percent compared to the same period last year. As of March 1, 2025, Azerbaijan’s reserves of finished gold and silver products stood at 160.4 kg and 668.9 kg, respectively.
This rise in production is noteworthy as it reflects Azerbaijan’s growing capacity in the mining sector. The increase in reserves suggests a potential for continued output, which could have implications for the country’s economic activities in the precious metals market.
