Baku: In the first quarter of 2025, Azerbaijan experienced a notable decrease in its oil products manufacturing sector, with the total production value reaching 1,257.1 million manats. This figure represents a 7% decline compared to the same period in the previous year.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the production of various oil products has been affected during this period. Kerosene production fell by 6.8%, gasoil (diesel fuel) production decreased by 7.8%, and motor gasoline production saw a significant drop of 12.3%.
Additionally, the production of petroleum bitumen decreased by 21.4%, petroleum coke production declined by 25.2%, and lubricating oils experienced a substantial reduction of 36.6%. Finished product inventories as of April 1, 2025, include 57.5 thousand tons of automobile gasoline, 12.1 thousand tons of white oil, and 138.3 thousand tons of gasoils. Other products, such as fuel oil and liquefied gases, also contributed to the overall production figures.
