Baku: Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Jean Todt, the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety, on July 1 to discuss initiatives aimed at enhancing road safety.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the meeting underscored the successful development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United Nations across various fields. Prime Minister Asadov commended the efforts led by the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Road Safety in promoting global road safety.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Asadov emphasized the ongoing reforms in Azerbaijan focused on improving road safety. He highlighted efforts to develop road transport infrastructure according to modern standards and enhance the transport system through digital solutions.
The meeting also addressed the importance of studying international best practices in road safety and strengthening cooperation in this area, along with other issues of mutual interest.
