Turkistan: Azerbaijan's Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev spearheaded a delegation to Turkistan, Kazakhstan, marking an official visit prompted by an invitation from his Kazakh counterpart. During a bilateral meeting with Kazakhstan's Prosecutor General Berik Assylov, Aliyev emphasized the robust and evolving partnership between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, underscoring the collaboration between the two countries' prosecutorial bodies.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Aliyev highlighted the pivotal role of political will and mutual trust in fortifying strategic and allied ties, referencing the significance of the 2022 Declaration. He expressed optimism about the ongoing development of cooperation between the prosecutorial entities of both nations. Aliyev also acknowledged Kazakhstan's backing in the reconstruction of Azerbaijan's liberated territories, pointing to the Kurmangazy Children's Creativity Center in Fuzuli as a testament to the strong bonds between the two nations. Moreover, he noted the involvement of a Kazakh firm in the Fuzuli Central District Hospital project as a sign of the growing bilateral collaboration in regional revitalization.
The meeting further explored promising cooperation avenues and set priorities for future engagements. On September 11, Aliyev participated in the 5th Meeting of the Council of Prosecutors General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) in Turkistan.
During his address, Aliyev expressed gratitude to Prosecutor General Berik Assylov for organizing the event and emphasized the importance of prosecutorial bodies in upholding the rule of law in urban planning, a cornerstone of Azerbaijan's state policy. He shared insights into Azerbaijan's urban modernization efforts, which aim to preserve architectural heritage, and highlighted the restoration and reconstruction projects in liberated territories, with contributions from Turkic states. Aliyev also mentioned Azerbaijan's role in international urban planning, including hosting the 13th Session of the UN World Urban Forum in Baku, and provided updates on measures implemented by prosecutorial authorities in this domain.
In addition to these discussions, a bilateral meeting was conducted with Muhsin Sentrk, Prosecutor General of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Trkiye, focusing on the strong ties between Azerbaijan and Trkiye, and the cooperation between their prosecutorial bodies, alongside joint international initiatives. The delegation's visit continues, with planned meetings with delegations from several countries as part of the event.
