Baku: Baku hosted an event on August 14 to mark Pakistan's National Day. The gathering saw the participation of members of the Pakistani diplomatic corps, media representatives, and students.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, messages from Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif were read out during the event. Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Qasim Mohiuddin, in his remarks, highlighted the historical importance of the occasion.
The ambassador noted Pakistan's progress in promoting economic stability and its contributions to regional and global peace. He also expressed optimism about the further development of the fraternal ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
The event concluded with Azerbaijani students delivering remarks in Urdu, symbolizing the cultural exchange between the two nations.
