BAKU—The Forum of Azerbaijani Scientists Living Abroad has officially opened in Baku, bringing together nearly 200 scholars from around the world to enhance scientific collaboration and exchange.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the event, supported by the State Committee for Work with Diaspora and the Ministry of Science and Education and organized by the World Association of Azerbaijani Scholars, began with the national anthem and a minute of silence for martyrs who died for the country’s territorial integrity. Farah Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Policy, Diaspora, Multiculturalism, and Religious Issues of the Presidential Administration, delivered President Ilham Aliyev’s address to the attendees.
The three-day forum features over 80 Azerbaijani scholars from 23 countries and aims to strengthen the network among Azerbaijani scientists globally, promote interactions with local academics, and facilitate the sharing of knowledge and expertise. Additionally, participants will have the opportunity to visit significant locations, including Shusha and Khankendi, and engage with faculty at Garabagh University.
