Baku: The first meeting of the Technical Committee under the OPEC+ Charter of Cooperation (CoC) was held in Baku, as reported by APA-Economics. The gathering marked a significant event in global energy cooperation, with representatives from 20 oil-producing countries in attendance.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the meeting was chaired by OPEC Secretary General Haitham Al Ghais and hosted by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan's Energy Minister, Parviz Shahbazov, highlighted the significance of hosting the inaugural meeting in Baku, reflecting the country's growing influence and reputation as a reliable partner within the OPEC+ framework.

Haitham Al Ghais addressed the participants, emphasizing their commitment to the Charter's objectives. These include fostering stronger dialogue with major oil consumers, enhancing cooperation in technology, innovation, and investment, and maintaining support for oil market stability. The meeting served as a follow-up to the 40th OPEC and non-OPEC Ministerial Meeting held in November 2025, where the framework for the Charter of Cooperation was approved.
