Bochorishvili: Azerbaijan-Armenia Peace Treaty is Key Point on Trump’s Agenda

Washington: "The peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia, reached in Washington on August 8 last year, is a key point on the agenda of US President Donald Trump," Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili said in an interview with Imedi TV channel, APA's local bureau reports. The minister highlighted the significance of the agreement in fostering stability in the South Caucasus region.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the minister also emphasized that US Vice President James David Vance's visits to Azerbaijan and Armenia were a continuation of the peace efforts initiated by the treaty. Bochorishvili noted that these visits, which occurred in the aftermath of the agreement, were a clear demonstration of the commitment to ending the long-standing conflict between the two nations.

The peace treaty, brokered in Washington, has been a central component of US foreign policy in the Caucasus region under President Trump's administration. The US government has been actively involved in facilitating dialogue and promoting reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, aiming to ensure lasting peace in the region.
