Baku: BP has marked another significant milestone in its over 30-year partnership with Azerbaijan, as expressed in a letter from Gio Cristofoli, BP Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Trkiye, to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Cristofoli extended his heartfelt wishes to President Aliyev for his birthday, expressing hopes for his continued success in fostering the prosperity of Azerbaijan. BP takes pride in operating large-scale energy projects in Azerbaijan and cherishes the strong relationship built with the Azerbaijani government and SOCAR. The letter highlights the effective partnership and leadership that have facilitated the implementation of strategic energy projects in the region.

This year, the partnership reached a new milestone with the signing of four major agreements in June. These agreements aim to enhance oil and gas exploration and production while advancing solar and electrification projects. Cristofoli expressed optimism that these projects will be successfully implemented in the coming years.

Cristofoli also conveyed his congratulations to President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people on the occasion of the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year holidays, wishing prosperity, peace, and progress for the nation in the coming year.
