SHUSHA: A group of 33 travelers from the British Piki Reels club, led by Belgian Yves Bouvier, has arrived in Shusha, Azerbaijan, following a visit to Fuzuli. The trip is part of a broader initiative to observe the impacts of the Armenian occupation and the subsequent restoration efforts by the Azerbaijani government.

According to Trend News Agency, the visit aims to provide the travelers with insights into the damage inflicted during the occupation and to showcase the ongoing reconstruction initiatives in the liberated areas. The group will also explore several historical sites in Shusha, enhancing their understanding of the region’s cultural heritage.

This excursion marks the 12th trip by representatives of major international travel clubs to Karabakh and East Zangezur since 2020. These tours have attracted over 400 foreign travelers from more than 50 countries. The visits aim to promote awareness of the region’s history and the significant restoration work underway, positioning the area as a destination
for dark tourism. The British Piki Reels club, known for its seasoned members who have traveled to over 100 countries, continues to explore and document these historic and transformative developments.
