BAKU — The Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) confirmed that the recent parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan met democratic standards, according to observers. The statement came following a comprehensive observation of the voting process.
According to Azeri-Press News Agency, vice-president of BSEC and a member of the Georgian Parliament, voter turnout was noted up to 38%, a figure he described as consistent with broader international trends. Serbian Parliament member Igor Becic highlighted that conditions were adequately prepared for voter participation, underscoring the mission's findings during their discussions with Mazahir Panakhov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan.
