Canada Seeks Stronger Collaborative Ventures with Azerbaijan

Ottawa: In a recent telephone conversation, Jeyhun Bayramov, Azerbaijan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Anita Anand, Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs, discussed potential advancements in Azerbaijan-Canada relations and regional concerns.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Minister Anita Anand extended her congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion of its 108th Independence Day anniversary, expressing Canada's keen interest in strengthening bilateral relations. Minister Bayramov acknowledged the congratulations and emphasized the potential for deepening political dialogue and cooperation between the two nations in various sectors.

The ministers highlighted the importance of exploring opportunities to enhance collaboration in green transition, renewable energy, information and communication technologies (ICT), and energy security. Discussions also included a focus on the current regional situation, post-conflict realities, and the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process. Minister Bayramov provided insights into the history and consequences of past conflicts and the ongoing efforts to secure lasting peace and stability in the region. The conversation concluded with an exchange of views on other mutual concerns.
