CEC Chairman Discloses Total Voter Count and Polling Station Details in Azerbaijan


BAKU — During a press conference held today, Mazahir Panahov, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC), unveiled comprehensive voter and polling station data for Azerbaijan.



According to Azeri-Press News Agency, Panahov revealed that Azerbaijan has a total of 6,421,960 registered voters, with 374 individuals expected to reach voting age on election day itself. He further detailed the country’s polling station infrastructure, noting that there are 6,478 stations, of which 6,343 are permanent and 135 are temporary. Panahov emphasized that the temporary stations, located in military units and prisons, have specific security-related rules for observers. He clarified that observers at other stations are expected to operate strictly within the boundaries of the Election Code.
