Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Office Highlights Azerbaijan’s Role in Regional Peace Initiatives

Istanbul: Sheikhulislam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Office, addressed a panel session on the theme 'Living on a Planet Where Water and Green are Depleting' during the 29th Eurasian Economic Summit in Istanbul.

According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, Sheikhulislam Pashazade highlighted global cataclysms as significant threats to humanity. He remarked, "Unfortunately, the era we live in is characterized by major confrontations and human massacres. Conflicts on geopolitical, economic, ethnic, religious, and racial grounds, along with intensifying climate change, threaten the future of humanity. All these challenges primarily stem from the disruption of divine order and the detachment of people from their moral and ethical roots."

Pashazade also noted that Azerbaijan has endured war crimes, massacres, and genocide. He expressed gratitude for the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, under whom Azerbaijan has restored its territorial integrity and sovereignty as recognized by the international community. Pashazade stated, "Today, we are carrying out large-scale reconstruction and development in our liberated lands, giving new life to temples belonging to Muslim, Christian, and other religions, reviving our cultural and spiritual heritage, rebuilding our cities, and acting as initiator of peace and progress projects in the region."

During the summit, Akkan Suver, President of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, presented Sheikhulislam Pashazade with honorary gifts. The 29th Eurasian Economic Summit, organized by the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation, has gathered nearly 400 delegates from 48 countries.
