Georgia has started building a church near the "Red Bridge" border crossing point, Marneuli mayor's office announced, APA's Georgia bureau reports.

It was reported that the foundation of the church of "Saint Andria Pirveltsodebuli" has been laid with the blessing of Bishop Giorgini Camdeliani of Marneuli and Khujabi.

Mayor of Marneuli Municipality Kanan Omarov, Governor of Kvemo Kartli Giorgi Dokhturishvili, MPs Zaur Dargalli and Alexander Dalakishvili, Chairman of the Sacrebulus of Marneuli Amiran Giorgadze, Mayor of Gardabani Municipality Davit Kargareteli and other officials took part in the ceremony.
