CICA Conference Highlights Baku Port’s Role in Regional Connectivity

Baku: The second day of the international conference on 'The Role of Ports in Regional Connectivity and Strategic Cooperation,' organized within the framework of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), unfolded at the Baku International Sea Trade Port, as shared by Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY) with APA-Economics.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, the conference featured technical sessions, a participant visit to the Baku International Sea Trade Port, and a presentation on innovative, sustainable solutions at the port. A site tour titled 'Innovation in Action' allowed participants to inspect the General Cargo and Ro-Ro terminals of Baku Port. The digital management and security systems were demonstrated, providing insights into the Port Control Room and the Unified Access Center.

An interactive session with Baku Port management facilitated an exchange of views concerning the port's activities, development prospects, and its role in the regional transport and logistics system. Participants engaged in discussions aimed at understanding the port's strategic importance.

The conference also included a session on 'Green Port,' which provided general information about Baku Port. Attendees were briefed on the 'Green Transport' and 'Green Port' concepts, alongside efforts to enhance sustainable logistics and environmental efficiency.
