Jabrayil: Classes have begun at the Shukurbayli village secondary school in Jabrayil district after 33 years, APA's Karabakh bureau reports. The last bell at the school rang in May 1993, marking the end of its operation since its establishment in 1926. The school ceased functioning during the years of occupation.

According to Azeri-Press News Agency, after the liberation of Jabrayil from occupation, a new school building meeting modern standards was constructed as part of the restoration efforts in Shukurbayli village. The reopening ceremony was attended by officials, school staff, families of martyrs, and village residents, marking a significant moment for the community.

The event commemorated the memory of the martyrs, and speeches highlighted the significance of the Great Return. Students participated by presenting musical and dance performances, and the bell marking the first day of classes was rung, symbolizing a fresh start for the village.

Zarifa Mammadova, an alumnus of the school who has returned as a teacher, expressed her pride in coming back to her native village in this new role. Students shared their joy in being able to study in their ancestral homeland after more than three decades.
