Baku: In the first half of 2026, Azerbaijan witnessed a significant increase in its copper concentrate production, with a total of 8,831.3 tons produced, marking a 7.4-fold rise from the previous year.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan reported that as of July 1, finished product inventories saw a substantial increase of 1,475.6 tons. This represents a 10.4-fold rise compared to the same period in the previous year, bringing the inventory total to 1,632.1 tons.
For comparison, copper concentrate production in the January-June period of 2025 was significantly lower, standing at 156.5 tons, while finished product reserves were recorded at 1.188.8 tons. The year-over-year growth highlights a remarkable expansion in Azerbaijan's copper concentrate sector.
