ANKARA: A delegation of military lawyers from Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Defense is currently undertaking a working visit to Trkiye. This visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen legal and military cooperation between the two nations, according to an announcement from the Ministry of Defense.
According to Azerbaijan State News Agency, the delegation, which is led by Justice Colonel Elchin Aliyev, Chief of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, held a meeting with Suay Alpay, the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Trkiye. Discussions centered on the application and integration of international humanitarian law in military operations, as well as the reinforcement of moral values during armed conflicts. Both parties also touched upon a range of other topics of mutual interest.
As part of their visit, the Azerbaijani delegation participated in a ceremony marking the completion of professional education for officers from the Law Faculty at the Turkish National Defense Ministry’s M
ain Department of Legal Services. During the event, speakers extended their congratulations to the newly graduated officers, expressing their hopes for the graduates’ future success in their military careers.
Suay Alpay took the opportunity to congratulate the Azerbaijani delegation on the Day of Restoration of Independence, which is celebrated on October 18. The ceremony concluded with the awarding of certificates to Azerbaijani servicemen and other graduates who had successfully completed their education.
